A letter, not a brochure. The real story, including the parts most brands leave out.
The bag that did not exist
We found it strange that bags are designed for one thing. You train, you work, you travel, and you carry your laptop, your yoga mat, and your shoes, sometimes all at once. None of that is unusual. It is just modern life. The bags never caught up.
The gym bag was useful and a little embarrassing. The travel duffel looked right and held nothing a gym needed. No shoe compartment, no way to carry a mat, a laptop shoved sideways against yesterday's kit. We looked for something better. The good international bags were not here and cost twice as much. Several Indian bags stopped at a price point and called it a day. Nobody had built the thing we actually needed.
So we built it
Not a business plan. Not a pitch deck. Sketches. A yoga mat strap that was not an afterthought. A base shoe compartment that actually sealed. A laptop sleeve that genuinely suspended the machine. Weather-resistant nylon, matte black hardware, a bag that looked right in a changing room, a boarding lounge, and a meeting, because that is the real sequence of a real day.
Six rounds of samples. A few honest failures that taught us exactly what the bag had to be. Then it was right.
The honest part
We will tell you the things most brands do not. We are new. This is our first product. We make in small batches because we would rather build what people want than warehouse what we hope they buy.
We work on pre-order because it keeps us honest. Your order funds the production run. That is not a tactic, it is how we operate. If something is ever wrong with your bag, tell us first, at hello@aro21.com. A real person reads it.

Every feature on everything we make will exist because it solves something real, not because it reads well in a list. We will not make something cheaper in a way that makes it worse for the person using it. We will be honest about what we are, a small, India-made brand that takes its products seriously. And we will always answer our emails.
